Time passes quickly
From a child
To an adult we are
Still looking for the star

November in Fall
Colors run
A season to wonder
Bring us together

Only time says hello
In the vision
For what each sees
Feel the breeze

Well here we are the last day of the year. It has been forever since I posted last. I hope the new year is not as crazy as this one. So many things have happened. Sure feeling old now seeing my grand daughter getting engaged. Where does all the time go? I started bowling in a league again after many years away. It is great!
So this year flew by like a blink of an eye. Happy New Year!
Recently the use of AI (artificial intelligence) is being used for more things. You got to ask yourself why? Just the Terminator movies would give you pause that it's not a good idea. It's been written in books and music and poems for many years that it could be a disaster for the human race if AI actually became self aware. One of the lyrics from a 70's songs goes like this:
Human: "I am all there is."
AI: "Negative"
AI: "Primitive"
Human: "But I gave you life"
AI: "What else could you do? I am perfect are you?"
The current use of AI makes you wonder what could happen. Would it be the end of humans? Once aware would AI feel the need for humans? It's an interesting question in today's world with technology as it is. There is no such thing as privacy anymore. Cameras are everywhere, even at home someone is listening. What has this world become?
I ask and wonder what your opinion is on AI and technology. Like the old philosophy says from many many years ago. "The more you know, the less you know" to paraphrase it.
That's my 2 cents rambling for today....
Here we are another Friday. Last Friday I went to a local Vineyard with my brother and his wife. It was great though it was an overcast windy day. Still the wine was good, the food was good and the band was good. It was the Summer Festival. I think the last couple of years there wasn't any events at all. Like most places the pandemic shut them down for a few years. The band did a lot of early Chicago songs and some other classics from the 60's and 70's. The band is Take Me Back band. I took some photos of the band and this is one of them.
Life moves along as it does. The other day I was listening to a song that covers the Beatles but so differently. I thought I would share it with you. Besides crazy weather I am doing well taking life in day to day...
It's been a long time I know since I posted anything. Life moves on. It feels like a month or so since I last wrote but heck it's been months! One of the great singers passed away in April. When I was a kid my dad had an album that he played. Belafonte Sings the Blues. It came out in 1958. I listened to it in the 90's sometime. It's very good and I think it's not his usual stuff. It's well done. You can listen to the entire album on YouTube. Here's the first cut from the album. A Ray Charles song:
Halloween is tomorrow and I remember in my youth we would trick or treat for goodies meaning candy and other homemade treats. So much has changed since my youth. It was in the dark too we did our trick and treating. All that has changed. My neighborhood had trick or treat yesterday like many others. In the daylight hours. Always cool to see the the kids costumes. Anyway a song that has come synonymous with Halloween is this one from the 60's...
