Thoughts For Sunday 11/22/15

It's a very cold weekend. Yet a bright one. As I move along with getting packed up to move, I've realized how much stuff you collect over the years. Most of my posts are never too personal but this one I feel I need to breathe a little more to it. This year has been a bad one for my gf. Earlier in the year she fell and ended up in the hospital. She wasn't hurt but her walking and standing were not there. She's been using a walker the past few years. So for most of the year she was in a rehab facility to get her strength back. She came home Labor Day weekend and in a few weeks ended up with Bronchitis and back in the hospital. For a few days. It's been that kind of year. Currently our apt. is on the second floor. So the steps are a real problem and now she needs to use a wheelchair. This move will do us good, one floor, one step. There are steps for the basement but that's all for me. It will be a nice change.
So most stores are all geared up for Christmas. Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet. Doesn't that bother you? All the focus on the wrong things. And all this violence. Humans just can't seem to get along on a global scale. It's these things like the Paris attacks that makes you wonder how did the world get to be so filled with evil.
A couple weeks and then the move. I'll be offline until I get hooked up with the net again. One problem with moving is transferring everything etc. and the thousand phone calls you need to make. Here the drums a beating.......

Thoughts For Saturday 10-24-15

This morning I noticed how much the days are getting shorter. Normally it's fairly light at 7:00 a.m. Not today. And next week I think is the day we turn the clocks back an hour. That means I'll be getting home in the dark after work.
I've caught some old tv shows lately which are just perfect for Halloween. The Munsters and Bewitched. Classic stuff! Both will have you laughing a lot. I also saw where Christina Ricci may be portraying Morticia Addams in an upcoming movie. The Addams Family tv show was one of my favorites. Kooky it was for sure! The Munsters and The Addams Family are perfect in black and white. Right now it's just a rumor that Christina Ricci is going to be in that role. But she has posed in the costume and pics have been posted on the net. Kind of amazing that she played Wednesday as a child in the Addams Family movie and now may be doing Morticia in a new movie. The last time I can recall something like this is The Miracle Worker. Patty Duke playing Helen Keller as a child. And later playing the role of her tutor......
Here's the pic of Christina Ricci dressed as Morticia......

Ramblin' Again

Well another week has gone by. It's cool today. Fall is working it's way in. Always love the Fall colors as the leaves look like painted masterpieces drifting to earth.
One of the things I used to post a lot about was driving. The insanity. Saw enough this week. The worst being as I left work. Sitting at the red light waiting for the left arrow to come on for my turn. It did and sure enough some stupid in the straight through lane took off too. Good thing I was paying attention or I would have been creamed. So I honked my horn and pointed to the arrow. The dude was oblivious to what he almost caused. It's bad out there. Driving has become a challenge. Nascar and Indy drivers are probably safer..
The I love personalized plates. I saw a good one while behind a car something like this one. LREDWGN

Ramble Scramble

Well I had some things I wanted to write about but instead I'm passing on those things. I took a couple days off work making it a four day weekend. I had a lot I wanted to accomplish but all that didn't work out lol. Today was the busy day. Plus a beautiful perfect day. The best weather all year as far as perfection goes. The next few will warm back up again and add to those above average temps we've seen of late. As for today it was nice to enjoy some of it without being at work. You never really get the full beautiful day when you're at work. The other things I've been doing for the past few days is going to the sites I have pages on. I still have too many. Way back when I first joined a social site, it was the only one I had. When it closed or was getting ready to the mad scramble began to go to another site. Now after a few or more scrambles, to stay in touch with everyone, too many pages have come and gone. A friend mentioned something interesting today. When we keep in touch by email with friends from a site we formally were once on, it only lasts so long. I don't know what it is exactly that makes that happen. Well I have ramble on long enough, let's see if I can do something interesting after these lines........

Another Sunday Post

Well another weekend blew right by. We got some rain finally but not enough to really make a difference. Instead it's going to be a hot week. Not as hot as you get down there in FLA but for us....what I'm really saying it will be nasty hot at work. Still need a winning ticket. I was over at another site today and I found an amusing little pic. These are the kind of messages we need to get.....have a wonderful start to your week......

A Warm Saturday

Earlier this week my air conditioning went out. I've called everyday to get it fixed and if as promised it would have been done on Thursday. Well here it is Saturday and it's roasting in here. This is the bummer of apartment living. So I'm a little grumpy about it. But I've kept my "cool" when talking to the management. Pun Intended! Besides all that I realize I sound a bit whiny, I hope you don't blame me for that...
Lost in the year
From guesses sound
Just drop a tear
Far from loud
Missin' you and you
Seems too many
Two by two
No secret key

Thoughts For Saturday

Another weekend about in the middle. My life is so routine. I bet people can set their watch to my outs and abouts. Since last week I've been trying to write a poem. It just hasn't come yet but ideas are floating around. I could name this post as a ramble but I thought I would use the thoughts like I did at Multiply between rambles. I could name it a ramble because I am Rambling on today....
I've been at my current job just over 11 years. My drive is much shorter than my previous job. So in the morning I listen to our classic rock station. Weather and traffic are important. A few times the radio has saved me from a traffic jam. Plus I like to guess at their contests. The new morning people are funny. I think this crew has been at it for about 3 years now. Now on the drive home I slip in a cd. One thing about the station. If you would listen to it all day, you would here most of the songs many times over. So on the weekends I tune in to an alternative station. Always something interesting catches my ear......may your weekend be filled with smiles.......

Thoughts Of The Week

It's one of those weeks. My sister-in-law passed away and the funeral was Saturday, yesterday. It was a shock to everyone, her passing. One thing she really enjoyed was her grandchildren. When things like this happen it makes us all reflect on the past and future. We feel our own mortality. I think it's true when they say: when it's your time, it's your time. No one can predict or see when our lives on Earth end. What lies beyond is........
I did miss the blue moon Friday though they say it's not really blue. I think I read it has to do with two full moons in a month.........

Well again the picture option froze. I'm figuring Google or Blogger is the problem. It works sometimes and sometimes not. Have a great week........

Sunday Thoughts

I had an idea for this blog but scratched it. Instead just some random thoughts. The world seems to be going nuts. A lot more than usual. Too much violence. Cowards who kill and take their own lives. Fools trying to destroy our way of lives. The average citizen everywhere does not control the political fronts. So all these attacks do nothing but inflame the inhumanity of humans. Too many "smart" buttons. Are we truly trying to make everyone more stupid? Drivers who shouldn't be allowed to ever drive again. Case in point. Thursday I'm coming up to this intersection where the light red. For the past two miles the car in front of me is going under the posted 35 speed limit. It's only one lane in each direction. Now at this intersection there is a lane to turn left and one to go straight through like we are doing. The car gets in that turn lane which I was happy since no other cars were in front of this person or now me since I was going straight. It's clearly marked with arrows painted in the road even. Light turns green and I go straight, so does that car that was just in front of me a few seconds ago. Wth??? See what I mean about more stupid. So through all this I got to thinking, baseball is still baseball.......(-:

Sunday Already....

Here it is already Sunday evening. Wow the weekend goes too quick! This cold I caught is hanging on. Not many symptoms this time around. Just a cough and a little sore throat. The cough keeps me from my sleep. The last two nights have not been fun. Back to the grind tomorrow. I know this is not much to talk about. Everyone has their own problems. I have many and like my friend here at blogger or some Google deal, I'm not prone to talk about all of them......so what should we look for this week? More breaking temps? More humidity? More bizarre killers? Or just ignore all the news and weather?
So the islands call for more
People knocking on the door
Let's get away to getaway
From this cosmic play

Ok this blog has gone beserk. My pic wouldn't post in here and why it's doing this highlighting thing is beyond me.....

Sunday thoughts...

Been a long time since I posted. So a little something I haven't done for awhile, a poem...
That's all there is
I look to east
To the west
Direction simply doesn't matter
Mind full of clutter
Can't get over the past
That does not last
For falling out
There is no doubt
There is no win
Reaching back in
It's how we arrange
It's not really strange
That's all there is they say
With love that's the way
Sometimes it's a call
Brings on the fall
Wish I could recall
What was nothing at all
I look to the north
I look to the south...

Today is a day where we honor the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Take a moment to remember them.......
In your own way.......

Ramble of the Week

My friend Lia posted about driving this week. Most of the rambles I've done over the years from Yahoo 360 to Multiply to now always has some driving stuff in it. This week was one of the worst I've seen with other drivers. The scariest part is how many people run red lights. When the light turns green for you, always look. Gotta be safe. Well this video probably explains some of the problems........

Sunday Ramble

Well I'm finally getting around to trying something here. It's been some truly busy weeks and my mind hasn't been into writing. So to look ahead to this week, it's another busy one. Later I shall go into more detail but for now, a light amusing video to get your week started with a smile. That is if I can figure out how to put it in here........
