Thoughts For Sunday 11/22/15

It's a very cold weekend. Yet a bright one. As I move along with getting packed up to move, I've realized how much stuff you collect over the years. Most of my posts are never too personal but this one I feel I need to breathe a little more to it. This year has been a bad one for my gf. Earlier in the year she fell and ended up in the hospital. She wasn't hurt but her walking and standing were not there. She's been using a walker the past few years. So for most of the year she was in a rehab facility to get her strength back. She came home Labor Day weekend and in a few weeks ended up with Bronchitis and back in the hospital. For a few days. It's been that kind of year. Currently our apt. is on the second floor. So the steps are a real problem and now she needs to use a wheelchair. This move will do us good, one floor, one step. There are steps for the basement but that's all for me. It will be a nice change.
So most stores are all geared up for Christmas. Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet. Doesn't that bother you? All the focus on the wrong things. And all this violence. Humans just can't seem to get along on a global scale. It's these things like the Paris attacks that makes you wonder how did the world get to be so filled with evil.
A couple weeks and then the move. I'll be offline until I get hooked up with the net again. One problem with moving is transferring everything etc. and the thousand phone calls you need to make. Here the drums a beating.......

  1. First of all, good thoughts and prayers for the both of you. I think that is a good move for you to make considering the circumstances. That should make life a little easier for her and for you.

As for the world full of evil, well my personal beliefs are such that I think there are evil forces behind a lot of things that go on. Not just men, but "other" entities. I would hate to think that all of this comes from only the mind of men. What would that say about us as a species?

Anyway, yes, moving is a pain in the butt ! I hope it all goes smoothly for you and that you can settle in nicely and relax in your new place.

    1. Thank you Lia. It's a heck of a time to move. Hopefully it will be a nice day weather wise.
I believe the same, there are other evil forces at work. And they seem to be winning. )-:
