In the past weeks a few friends I
know in the cyberspace world have passed on. It's very sad since they
were longtime friends. To Bessie and Charlotte and Ron, you are missed
dearly. And for all of us who have lost those we love..... We walk along the journey
Sometimes we can get lost Forget the weight of the cost Friends can come and go Before and after before you know Is this what we want to see? Is this what we want to be? As I wander through the keys Seeking the very cool breeze
Well
it's been a long time since I wrote a blog. This week just seemed to be
the one to write. Insanity came to our neighborhood. Seems at my alma
mater, the high school I went to; that a student brought a gun to
school. Luckily he gave it up without incident. Last thing I expected to
hear. At the school I went to when I was a kid. What happened? Where
did we go wrong? Somewhere along the line the world we knew disappeared.
Will we ever get it back? On that same note, sorta, I watched a
little of the Republican Debates. It was all out war and name calling.
Just like our talk shows. It was on CNN and that's pretty much how they
are for news and views lol. Guess we're in trouble all the way around.
There's really no one running I would put faith in to run this country,
neither Republican or Democrat. On that note, Spring is just around the corner....make yours a wonderful weekend.....
Instead of later, let's go sooner. On the Google+ side it was that strange journey that got me there. Long ago there was Youtube. As it began to grow I started an account there. Which I still have. Now the giant Google swallowed Youtube then forced everyone later to start a Google+. That wasn't enough, if you have a gmail account, they forced you too. You can shut it off more or less, but it's always there as long as you have the 2 things I mentioned..... Well the Grammys are on and I'm kinda ignoring most all of it. A lot of the artists on it really aren't that talented. What's gone wrong with all this stuff.....Between this and Beyonce with her Black Panther salute, just makes ya wonder where it all went wrong. Well one reason I'm thinking about this is because I was playing flashback songs on the weekend from the 60's. Whole different kinda stuff there. Most of the songs were hits from when I was a kid. So maybe I should call this Ramblin' Gamblin'.....
I don't have much to say, just a little. I was watching the weather on the news and that big storm coming from the south is going to put the hurt on much of the east. Amazingly it's going to miss us. Yesterday the local weather guys predicted we would see some of it. Different story today. So I was thinking, one little turn and we'll be in it up to our eyeballs.... I'm glad this week is almost over. More and more it's hard to go into work. But it's a must to have that green stuff to buy the needed stuff.... I was reading a friend's post and like many times through the years of reading friend's posts, a song will pop into my head, somehow related to the post but usually in a weird way that I connect the dots. Anyhoo here's a vid of that song, I haven't heard it in a long time so it was quite refreshing......
Well here it is Sunday already. Weekends go so fast. Still lots to do unpacking and organizing everything. BUT we got our sofas Saturday. Waited a long time. About 7 weeks I think. That's what I get for buying when the holiday sales are on! Since I left Multiply I don't blog much anymore. The main site I use I've not blogged for a very long time. Well now they written rules about blogging and one of them is like another site I tried. I got into a good argument there about it. That new rule is if admin. feels it's not a blog, it will be deleted without warning. Wth? How does this kinda rule really inspire people to write. I thought the site I tried was bad enough, especially since my first two blogs there got deleted without warning. Now to have the same crap on the main site I visit. Have people forgotten the art of blogging? Well some people I guess. The people I follow here are the greatest bloggers. Anyhoo enough rant, already can't wait for Spring, as I get older cold and snow just don't work for me.......
It's a very cold weekend. Yet a bright one. As I move along with getting packed up to move, I've realized how much stuff you collect over the years. Most of my posts are never too personal but this one I feel I need to breathe a little more to it. This year has been a bad one for my gf. Earlier in the year she fell and ended up in the hospital. She wasn't hurt but her walking and standing were not there. She's been using a walker the past few years. So for most of the year she was in a rehab facility to get her strength back. She came home Labor Day weekend and in a few weeks ended up with Bronchitis and back in the hospital. For a few days. It's been that kind of year. Currently our apt. is on the second floor. So the steps are a real problem and now she needs to use a wheelchair. This move will do us good, one floor, one step. There are steps for the basement but that's all for me. It will be a nice change. So most stores are all geared up for Christmas. Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet. Doesn't that bother you? All the focus on the wrong things. And all this violence. Humans just can't seem to get along on a global scale. It's these things like the Paris attacks that makes you wonder how did the world get to be so filled with evil. A couple weeks and then the move. I'll be offline until I get hooked up with the net again. One problem with moving is transferring everything etc. and the thousand phone calls you need to make. Here the drums a beating.......
